Based in Ferndown, near the south coast of England, our manufacturing and design team work towards meeting the ever changing needs of the customer. KVM switches are so called because they switch one keyboard, one video monitor and one mouse to multiple computers. Originally implemented as simple mechanical switches, poor compatibility and unreliability have led most users to discard this type in preference for the so called “intelligent” switches.

SwitchCom only manufacture intelligent switches where multiprocessor control emulates the existence of keyboard, monitor and mouse and provides seamless switching and ultimate reliability even with “fussy” operating systems.

Imagine a medium size network server room with 20 servers, 20 monitors, 20 keyboards and 20 mice taking up a lot of desk space and producing a lot of heat. The system manager needs to move from one keyboard to the next to check or work on each server.
